Hi everyone ! My name is Laurent Bernard-Cardascia. I'm a Senior Web Developer, with multiple specialties due to my multiple professional experiences, with a solid devops and cloud computing background and solid skills in test automation and deployment automation in continuous integration context. I'm also very skilled in database architecture and management (postGreSQL, mySQL and variants, or no relationnal systems like ElasticSearch / Kibana or MongoDB). I've integrated large server clusters monitoring tools on AWS (Datadog, Kafka). Last but not least, I've got multiple front development skills: React and its Next.js framework, Angular... and practiced almost all CSS frameworks... All these competences were parts of my last professional experiences, and I won't list all the other stuff I do on my free time. Besides all these technical knowledge, I worked must often in SCRUM managed teams, I know the manifest, I know the method... What more can I say ? I'm just like a swiss-army knife for Web application development !

Work Experience
SNCF
Consultant full-stack Web Developer
Integrated into the SNCF development teams at the Hellemmes Industrial Technicentre, I was specifically in charge of the Collector+ application. This application allows real-time tracking of the entire inventory of spare parts being repaired in SNCF workshops, supervising the status of each piece, recording breakdown history, and operations performed. The application also manages on-site logistics, quality control of repairs, analyzes the needs for spare component procurement, and so forth. This project allowed me to face numerous challenges due to the volume and complexity of the data to be handled, not to mention their critical nature. Initially a local project at the Hellemmes industrial technicentre, the application continuously matured and became more sophisticated as it was deployed nationally, especially when we transformed it into a cloud-based application. I notably contributed to transforming numerous functionalities to leverage a cloud architecture (Lambda functions, S3 mass storage, multi-server architecture) and automating deployment tasks while developing many new features tailored to the constantly growing needs of business teams and repair teams. This extensive mission has just concluded, after exposing me to the world of large-scale software development and equipping me with incredible skills that cannot be developed on smaller projects. It has also contributed significantly to my personal growth. I am eager to move forward in my career, benefiting from everything this wonderful experience has provided!

My other interests
I've always been a passionate music lover. Metal or jazz, blues or electro, she accompanies every single moment of my life, being the most reliable and faithful companion. Musician myself, I'm vocalist and co-composer for "Angsoc", an extreme metal band, and for the "Ephemerol" project, as extreme but more synthesizers-oriented.
I also enjoy reading, in particular science-fiction books or "beat" generation authors like Jack Kerouak or William S. Burroughs. Exploring new ideas, developing my own personnal vision of the today's society and the opportunities this moment has to offer. When I've got some moments for my own, I'm working on a novel mixing Lovecraftian background and cyberpunk into deep space exploration, nothing less than that !!! :-D
And I don't know a better way to chill out after a hard day at work than watching a good movie in my couch sharing good old Belgian ale or Italian wine with friends'o'mine ! I love Sci-Fi of course, but I really enjoy horror movies, from the most shocking and gruesome ones to the worst B-movies...
Nevertheless, my two greatest passions, my two deepest loves, are my splendid and inspirating wife, Celine, and my 5, yeah, five little cats, my little army of love and tenderness...
